On October 12th, my friend Kája asked me: “Do you want to join us at the 4Beauty fair in Prague? But… it starts in four days!”
And me? Without thinking twice: “Yes, of course, I’d love to!”
And that’s how my improvised marathon of preparation started – really last minute.
On Tuesday we were still finishing a belt bag, and luckily I still had a few posters and business cards at home from the spring exhibition, so at least I had something to bring.
On Thursday evening, I delivered everything to my booth and prepared my stand. The hall was freezing because all the doors were wide open. I was still shaking from the cold an hour later at home.

On Friday at 10 a.m., the doors opened and the venue filled with students from different schools. After lunch, the audience changed and more professionals started coming in. The day ended at 6 p.m., so I covered everything, packed up and rushed home. Getting out of the exhibition grounds took over an hour – the entire area was jammed with thousands of visitors.
Saturday was the same story. Arriving and leaving was a disaster, but during the day the fair was full and lively.
At 2 p.m., I had a stage interview with Kája Pavlíček, and afterwards a photo session with my backpack and the Czech-Slovak actress and singer Nikola Ďuričová.

At 6 p.m., it was all over. I packed everything again and carried it to the car.
The result?
Lots of new contacts, another stage experience, a few leather accessories sold – and two unforgettable, full days of inspiration.
